This was the final photograph I made of Ronnie.

I took this photo as we waited for the ferry to Seattle to see his mom, Ardis. After our visit, Ronnie and I headed to Dick's at the foot of Queen Anne. Then I drove him to West Seattle, where he caught the ferry to Vashon Island, the place he called home. Tomorrow afternoon, Ronnie will be laid to rest in the family plot, a few miles from where he grew up.
